The call for applications for the Academy of Change is now open – Apply today!

As we transition towards a low carbon society, significant behaviour change towards sustainability is required and the thought leadership of NGOs will be critical to make that happen. Successful behaviour change interventions consider how humans actually think and decide. Private companies have a long history in analysing customer behaviour – products are usually not marketed without exploring drivers of decision making in the buying process. Now is the time for climate change and sustainability practitioners to enter the world of behaviour change and boost the impact of their activities.

Academy of Change has been conceptualised to meet this need: It provides a unique professional development journey to help NGO-based professionals active in sustainability and climate change to build their skills for enabling more sustainable behaviour within their target groups. The Academy programme will support them in integrating evidence-based knowledge of the underpinnings of sustainable behaviour and behaviour change into NGO strategies and projects.

The programme is free of charge and includes strategic training, through both in-person workshops and webinars, networking opportunities and coaching sessions for a group of 50 carefully selected professionals working for NGOs across the world. The program consists of 6 modules, starts in June 2018 and will run for 8 months. By building capacity to use the drivers of behaviour in a systemic and holistic manner, Academy of Change will support these professionals in becoming more strategic when reaching out to their target groups and generate greater impact with their activities and campaigns. Due to the limited number of spaces in the Academy, the participants of the programme will be selected through an open application process to ensure a fair, transparent and high-quality selection procedure.
